Celeste Jones - ND
Clinical Naturopath and Functional Medicine Practitioner

I hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) and am a registered member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA).

My clinical approach integrates functional testing, comprehensive blood panels, and detailed case history to identify underlying contributors to disease. Recognising the interconnected nature of human physiology, I take a whole-systems approach, assessing factors including nutrient status, microbial health, hormonal and adrenal function, biochemical imbalances, toxin exposure, and detoxification capacity.

I practice an integrative, evidence-based model of care and work collaboratively with GPs, specialists, dermal therapists, and allied health practitioners. Treatment plans are individualised and may include practitioner-only nutraceuticals, bespoke herbal medicine, and targeted nutritional and lifestyle interventions.

My health story

My journey into naturopathy began through my own experience with severe, chronic cystic acne. It affected my face, neck, back, and chest, with inflammation so intense the lesions resembled welts. For a period of time, I rarely left the house. While often dismissed as “just skin,” those who have lived with acne or chronic skin conditions understand the profound emotional distress it can cause, alongside the physical pain.

After years of consulting GPs, dermatologists, dieticians, and skin clinics, and trialling multiple prescription medications and topical treatments, I eventually sought care from a naturopath. This experience not only cleared my skin but also fundamentally reshaped my understanding of healthcare and ignited a deep passion for “healing skin from within.” Today, I receive compliments on my skin - which still feels surreal to me.

Through my own journey, I developed a strong belief that the body holds an inherent capacity to heal when provided with the right internal environment. I bring a level of empathy, warmth, and understanding that comes from lived experience, and it is my hope that sharing my story offers reassurance and hope to those navigating similar challenges.

Journey to Functional Medicine

Natural healing practices were woven into my upbringing from an early age, guided by my mother and grandmother. Homemade vegetable juices, olive leaf extract, and natural remedies were part of everyday life, and any health concern was often followed by a phone call from my grandmother referencing How to Get Well: Dr Airola’s Handbook of Natural Healing. These early experiences planted the foundation for my interest in holistic health.

Following my own complex health journey, this foundation became the catalyst for enrolling in and completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy).

Over the past 17 years, I have worked in pharmacies, health stores, gyms, naturopathic clinics, hospitals, and aged care homes. I often saw people taking multiple pharmaceutical medications (polypharmacy) without their diet or lifestyle being addressed, and supplements being taken without testing to determine if they were truly needed, and without clear guidance or education on why they were taking them. This inspired me to study functional medicine and adopt a “test, don’t guess” approach, using evidence and objective data to provide personalised care that addresses the root cause, rather than relying on guesswork or standard protocols, because every body is unique and there is no “one-size-fits-all.”

I remain committed to ongoing professional development through continued education, practitioner training, mentoring, and engagement with emerging evidence-based research.
