Celeste was so amazing at investigating & providing very detailed information and guidance towards my improved health and issues not only just by the supplements but also holistically providing other ideas to support everything as a whole! I've suffered fatigue since my teenage years and have had various diagnoses from doctors and specialists since then, none of which seemed right to me and didn't help with my symptoms. After struggling with significant mental health issues since adolescence, I was immediately intrigued by the concept of "functional medicine" which I first discovered in a book by Dr. Mindy Pelz. A quick google search led me to discover Advanced Functional Medicine, and I chose Celeste Jones as my practitioner after resonating with her personal health story in her bio. I was initially a little anxious about the technology aspect, being new to telehealth, and possible complications arising from the time difference between Sydney and Perth. However, these concerns proved to be completely unnecessary as the website, patient portal, etc. are all optimized to perfection and make scheduling, communication, supplement refills, accessing documents and the appointments themselves completely worry-free and effortless. Celeste has a lovely and caring manner which immediately put me at ease. Although I have only been on my supplement regimen for a few months, I am definitely noticing positive changes and am hopeful things will continue to improve. Over the past 3 months Celeste has helped me with an autoimmune disease and various other issues. When I had my bloods tested last week my GP called me back in. The reason being was that she could not believe that my antibody levels had actually come down and TSH was within normal range and wanted to know how Celeste was treating me!! I came across Advanced Functional Medicine due to some health issues my regular GP was struggling to diagnose. I read about a few of the Functional GPs and opted for Celeste Jones. She has been great. Very understanding and thorough. First appointment she sent me for loads of tests. It was a bit overwhelming but they provide written instructions that are easy to follow, and respond quickly to emails if you have any questions. The portal they ask you to use is easy to navigate. Celeste has been a good support and diagnosed me straight away. She provided herbal supplements and dietary advice rather than antibiotics. She is friendly and approachable with any questions I've had. Although Functional medicine is expensive, it is worth it to improve your health and well-being.

After almost 2 years of being ignored by GPs & "standard medical pathways", I took the leap to see AFM and am thankful each day for the amazing recovery I've since had. Previously I was in a very bad state; severely underweight, on track to develop cancerous complications and in and out of hospital. Thanks to AFM and Rachel Balm specifically, I'm now back to normal functions and looking ahead to how I can now improve my life beyond just trying to survive each day. AFM's systems are very easy to use too so telehealth options are a breeze. Don't let the expensive price tag put you off- that's the unfortunate reality of how much REAL healthcare costs when the government refuses to contribute to testing or medications while simultaneously blocking insurance providers from covering outpatient specialists. It's infuriating that the govt only pays towards the most basic of tests and pharmaceuticals belonging to companies that lobby them. If you rely and guide yourself based on govt & "general" recommendations, you're doing yourself a massive disservice- AFM will steer you in the right direction. It's refreshing to speak to practitioners who don't tell you your results are normal for your gender/age and ignore your horrible symptoms as a result, AFM genuinely gets to the root cause instead of just treating the symptoms (previous GPs told me I just had to live with permanent recurring ulcers, treated by a prescription med with its own side effects, for life- AFM found what was causing these and I've been able to stop those meds since). I can't thank AFM & Rachel enough for helping to get my life back on track and giving me the tools to be proactive with my healthcare. The only area you might run into challenges with is ordering & receiving the supplements. Sometimes items are forgotten so you'll need to pay postage twice, and sometimes glass bottles aren't wrapped properly and break along the way (recommend that you order these separate to other supplements so as not to let it delay everything- shipping from WA is unfortunately slow, thanks AusPost).

I started seeing Jarrod to help me with a bad case of UC that hindered me from functioning properly in my daily life. It impacted my life on all levels. Name the symptom and I had it. Brain fog, rashes, sore muscles, memory loss, sore gut, high levels of inflammation, hot flushes, no energy, low mood, sore joints, bloating, weight gain and many more. I came to Shiree after being told by another doctor I needed to go onto thyroid medication. I didn’t want to be on a life long medication so I was seeking out an alternative. I have had very positive experiences when attending my appointments with Jarred. I have dealt with stomach issues for as long as I can remember. Been in hospital, ambulance called, scans, tests etc and been told, nothing wrong. I knew there always was. I've been working with Shiree since the start of the year after a cancer diagnosis in late 2020. She has been incredibly helpful. I have Rheumatoid Athritis and was diagnosed in 2015. To this day not one specialist or GP has wanted to help me like Shiree has. From the very first appointment, she was up front and honest about tests available for me. We have worked together in trying natural + dietary changes and are now testing LDN (low dose naltrexone) as an option to treat my auto immune condition. After many years of frustrating health issues and dead end treatments with main stream options I sort out alternatives and happened to stumble upon Jarrod's practice on the web. At my first appointment I told Jarrod he was the end of the road for me to which he quite confidently assured me that he could help. Jarrod immediately ordered a full spectrum of tests for me to under go which eventually diagnosed that I had long term gut issues and in addition several parasites which had taken hold in my colon. The treatment regime which Jarrod put me on started with a very strict Autoimmune protocol diet as well as a range of supplements to rid me of the parasites and support the rejuvenation of my gut and microbiome. I made an appointment with Jarrod after being diagnosed with a progressive lung disease, 18 months earlier. Rather than just treating the symptoms, he determined the possible causes and an appropriate course of action, which supported the prescription drugs I am on. As a result, my health has markedly improved and the specialists are slowly reducing my medication.
